The experience in the medical sector, gained by the company over the years, has allowed the creation of an innovative product for the motorsport market: a polyurethane foam seat to be placed between the driver and the seat, so as to perfectly adapt the respective shapes.

The realization is simple and fast: by exerting pressure on the bag (available in various shapes and sizes) the two substances contained in it are mix together, allowing the activator to expand the foam polyurethane up to 25 times its initial volume.

Solidification takes place in about 20 minutes from activation and, after an hour, it is possible to proceed with the cut, in order to eliminate the excess material.

The outer material that covers the foam is flame retardant and therefore compliant with FIA 3795:1992 regulation.

Compared to the traditional system, the Totim insert has several advantages:

1. It’s fast.
Production times drastically reduced compared to the traditional system: the Totim foam seat is already covered by the outer fabric and therefore does not need to be finished after its creation.

2. It’s safe.
No possibility of the foam coming out of the insert when it expands: the external welding in fact resists a pressure of over 50kg/cm².

3. It’s stiff.
The density of the polyurethane contained has the advantage of being much higher than the two-component system found on the market: the result is a more rigid seat which helps the rider maintain the correct riding position.

4. It’s “Problem Solving”
The polyurethane seat does not need any tools or other components to conform. This allows it to be used anywhere and in an emergency it is certainly the winning solution.
